Blue Headdress is the latest addition to my Metal series, an exploration of the intrinsic glow of metals, and the effect of flame.

The piece was selected for The Summer Show, the 51st National Juried Artists Exhibition conducted by the St. Tammany Art Association. The juror, Mark Biletnikoff, owner of Biletnikoff Gallery in Baton Rouge has juried the US Congressional Art Competition, and competitions for the Department of Oceanography and Coastal Sciences.

The St. Tammany Art Association was founded in 1958.

The exhibition is from July 9th to August 20th, 2016 at the St. Tammany Art Association’s Art House gallery in downtown Covington –– 320 North Columbia Street, Covington, LA. The opening reception is on July 9th from 6 – 9pm.

Shown below is a snapshot from the exhibition of the 22 x 33” wood-framed artwork printed by me on archival canvas.
