Mardi Gras Indian Chief from the Metal series was selected for the juried National Show, Expression Now: An Impressionist Approach conducted by The Copley Society of Art, Boston. The guest juror was Daisy Alejandra, Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Contemporary Art at the Museum of Fine Art, Boston.
The Metal series was created by exposing metal to a heat source in either a stochastic or directed manner. Mardi Gras Indian Chief is the most recent iteration of this long-running series.
What you see is what I saw. I believe in creating in real-time, not after the fact. The photo is minimally processed, and I do not use HDR photography, focus stacking, and generative AI.
Mardi Gras Indian Chief is an edition of one, the original, no copies will be printed. Shown below is a snapshot of the 25 x 36” wood-framed, canvas artwork.

The Copley Society based in Boston, is the oldest non-profit private art association in the United States. Membership is juried, and at present, I hold the designation of Copley Artist.
